It is time I begin drawing up the specifications for building a new computer. And I know many of you spend waaaay to much time tapping away at them, so I thought I'd solicit your input.
day one in biloxi
My brother in law has set me up with a gig installing automated/robotic/fancy schmancy lights in a bar/casino/hotel in mississippi. So I'm taking some vacation time from my "real job" and doing it.
a couple of things to remember:
-I'm waaay out of practice and self concious of it
-I've never been away from all of my girls for this long
-I'm using an antiquated pentium 3 laptop
-I've flown like 3 times in my life.. that i remember... and i don't like airports.
-this area was decimated, things are struggling to return to normal a year later.
A new venture!
Many of you have noticed that our co-founder hasn't been very present in a while, and now we have the pleasure of giving his excuse.. er reason.
he's been preparing for the launch of his new side business: photography!
he's purty damn good! and I am highly critical of such things and not prone to speaking favorably. of anything. really. take this as an extremely high complement to him and his skills.
So please, if you are in need of a photographer in the central texas area (and perhaps beyond, ask!) please take a look at

neighbors, neighborhood, community- Continued
So we had a gathering of some neighbors yesterday.
or rather, the wife and her friend / our neighbor put it together..
I got the feeling I agreed to it a while ago, and then it was sprung on me fully developed likeI had a clue what was going on.
but one quirk that made me a bit uncomfortable: not all the neighbors had been invited in the first pass.
