I wrote a previous review about baby smash! a Windows application for protecting your PC from your infant/toddler. Here is another handy software designed for use under Linux. I have an old Pentium MHz system running Ubuntu and rather then letting my son bang on my own PC, I decided to let him use this computer. You need some basic requirements which were fairly easy to install and run under Ubuntu but it does a great job. My boy likes to lean on the Ctrl, Windows, Alt and Space-bar keys so every once and a while he hits something to exit to a terminal but for the most part it is a spiffy little app. I would prefer it to use the actual words for the letters instead of the funny sounds it makes but it does entertain the little ones for quite some time.
